The Capital District Individual Development Account Program (CDIDA) is a locally
initiated program with funding from the Affordable Housing Partnership, the
Federal Home Loan Bank, and private sources to help stimulate savings, home
ownership, small business development, and educational enhancement. The program
offers to match participant's savings to help build savings to overcome poverty
and improve our community. The program provides valuable financial literacy
courses as well as specific courses such as business training and home
ownership. Since the program's inception, over 150 accounts have been opened
helping to create new small businesses and increase home ownership in the
Capital District. The Community Loan Fund participates with and for individuals
who want to start a business. Through this program, you'll receive business
training, individual technical support, and access to capital as well as learn
about savings, credit, insurance, investments, financing, and much more.
